Fraud Prevention Campaign: eThekwini Region Commits To Good Governance

On Friday 23 March 2018, the eThekwini Region management and staff gathered at the Conference Centre in Mayville in affirming the commitment to good governance. The session was a culmination of the Department’s official launch of Fraud Prevention campaign that took place on Friday 9 March 2018 in Durban. All Regional Offices and Head Office were the centre of the campaign’s rollout, with each member of the Executive Management taking a lead in addressing employees across on the importance of fraud prevention in the workplace.

Mr Jeremy Redfrearn, the Chief Financial Officer, officiated the session with the support of three proponents and champions of the campaign from the Directorate Risk Management, namely Ms Wendy Mntambo, Messrs Lucky Hlabisa and Pooven Govender, not forgetting to mention Ms Benji Mawby, who has been quite instrumental behind the scenes, in the logistical and administrative arrangements of the campaign.

Standing in for eThekwini Regional Director were Messrs Roanne du Preez and Gabriel Blose. Ms Thabi Khanyile, Mrs Nomcebo Lembethe, Mrs Khosi Ngcobo, Messrs Clement Luthuli, Madoda Shandu, Jeffrey Mbokazi, Naresh Mudhai, Dickson Govender, Nhlanhla Ngwenya and staff from various sections of the regional and district offices joined too.
