On Wednesday 22 August 2018, the eThekwini Region’s EPWP Unit, led by Mrs Nomcebo Lembethe and her team hosted an Emerging Contractor Training Workshop. In her welcome address, Ms Dudu Fihlela, the Regional Director for eThekwini Region acknowledged and confirmed the partnership that has been forged between Public Works’ Regional Office and eThekwini Municipality’s Business Support Tourism and Markets Unit, led by Mr Immanuel Nene. She praised the partnership, as it will eradicate the existing obstacles that hindered the effective provisioning of much needed support to emerging contractors. This was an interactive training where participants were actively involved rather than passively listening to presentations.
