It was a joyous and yet sombre mood as Head Office officials held a function to bid farewell to Mrs. Nokubonga Sibiya from the SCM Sub-Directorate: Fleet Management and Mr. Siphelele Zulu from HRM Sub-Directorate: Service Termination. The function was held at Auditorium on the 29 November 2018.
The two officials had to hold their tears as their colleagues described them individually according to their knowledge and professional manner in which they handled themselves in office. Amongst the speakers was HRM Director Mr. Glen Sithole, Disposal Director Mr Anwar Cassim and colleagues Mr. Bhekumndeni Nzuza, Ms Zoli Gumede and Ms. Nono Cele.
In their farewell messages, Mrs Sibiya and Mr. Zulu expressed their gratitude to the Department for nurturing their skills. They also appreciated the time spent with the colleagues. Mrs. Sibiya said the transfer was God’s will as she spent most of her time away her family and lost valuable time to raise her two sons.
Bidding them farewell, Chief Director Corporate Services Mr. Phiweyo Duma said he knew both officials as “dedicated with work ethics” and encouraged them to strive for the best and be exemplary to other colleagues at North Coast Region. The departing officials were showered with variety of gifts from their colleagues and thereafter the lunch was served.
