KZN Works

ETHEKWINI: 24 April 2025, KZN Public Works is hosting the quarterly National and Provincial Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation (NAPROV PM & E) Forum at Archie Gumede conference centre in Mayville, Durban.

The two-day session is attended by Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) practitioners from Public Works and Infrastructure departments in all nine provinces.

The aim of these sessions is to ensure that all M&E practitioners can increase and improve their abilities on how best to perform their functions, solve problems and achieve objectives and targets in a sustainable manner.

In his welcoming remarks, Acting Head of Department Dr Vish Govender expressed the importance of such platforms, “As government officials we must continually strive to be at the forefront of great governance and we can do so by sharing best practices and how we tackle drawbacks and challenges within the sector. We must move away from talkshop and ensure implementation in order to deliver on the government’s mandate,” said Dr Govender.
