Celebrating Human Rights Day with Menzi High School in Umlazi.
Built in the 1960s as the first high school in Umlazi. Designed by a system of oppression to limit, not to liberate. And yet, decade after decade, Menzi High School did exactly the opposite. Today, it holds a consistent record of 100% matric pass rates.
It didn’t drift through history. It fought through it.
KZN DPW&I is proud to be part of this school’s next chapter. 🌟Infrastructure delivery doesn’t end when the building is complete. It endures when a community takes ownership of it. At Menzi High School, a pledge was signed, a public commitment by the community to protect, respect, and safeguard this school for the learners who will walk through its doors for generations to come.
