On Wednesday, 4 March 2026, the Acting Head of Department Dr Vish Govender together with senior management from the department, had a fruitful engagement with the stakeholders of Woodlands Primary School in Pietermaritzburg.
The visit to the construction site was aimed at assessing progress on the upgrades, infrastructure replacements, additions, and implementation of a binding project completion contract entered into between the department and a contractor.
The AHO presented a detailed background on the purpose of the day, emphasizing the importance of working together in ensuring that the completion process flows smoothly without any hindrances.
School stakeholders conveyed a word of appreciation to the department, citing a positive working relationship as a good recipe for success. As a way forward, the AHOD outlined a comprehensive plan of action to ensure that the construction process continues seamlessly without glitches.
