Different cultures meet under one roof to strengthen unity in diversity
A throng of Head Office Officials dressed in different stunning cultural outfits and miscellaneous ceremonial wrap garments celebrated Heritage Day on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, at the Main Auditorium in Pietermaritzburg.
This year’s Heritage Day was celebrated under the theme ‘Celebrating Our Living Cultural Heritage,’ Strengthening the Ties that Bind Us.’
The event provided a rare platform for officials to freely showcase their unique talents in line with their respective traditions, cultural backgrounds, and ethnicities.
Attendees were also exposed to a practical Basic Sign Language lecture offered by a private academic institution, Zibusiso Learning Academy.
The Heritage Day commemoration remains the integral part of our country’ history, hence it is used to recognise and promote cultural diversity across all racial lines.
Live performances for the day ranged from the Bollywood Dance to Isicathamiya Acapella, an indigenous music genre.
