KWAZULU-NATAL: On Thursday, 26 June 2025, the Expanded Public Works Programme (EPWP) Directorate hosted a successful Quarter 1 Provincial Steering Committee (PSC) Meeting held at the KZN Sharks Board headquarters in Durban.
The PSC meeting is convened quarterly to reflect on the overall performance of the EPWP Provincial Coordination component in line with prescribed standards. This extends to coordination, oversight, implementation of EPWP strategies and interventions designed to address socio-economic challenges in the province.
The KZN Department of Public Works and Infrastructure, in collaboration with the Department of Labour and Employment, Provincial Government Departments, participating Municipalities and the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA) unanimously reflected on the latest developments and available opportunities in line with the government mandate on job creation.
The day was concluded with a Certificate Handover Ceremony for the 2024/2025 cohort of EPWP beneficiaries.
