The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Public Works and Infrastructure remains committed to skills development and capacity building. On Wednesday, 24 June 2026, scores of young people who hail from Cezwane area under the Jozini Local Municipality came under one roof to celebrate Youth Month through a Departmental initiative, dubbed, Youth Contractors Capacity Building Training Workshop.
The training workshop was intended to provide a conducive platform for Youth-Owned enterprises to effectively and meaningfully participate in a competitive construction industry. This strategic intervention is in line with the government adopted theme for the current youth month, “Accelerating Youth Economic Emancipation for a Sustainable Future.” Proper implementation of skills acquired during this critical programme will equip young people with wherewithal to thrive in a rapidly changing global environment.
