KZN Works

The Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure Mr. Dean William Macpherson and MEC for Public Works and Infrastructure in KwaZulu-Natal Mr Martin Meyer, have been warmly welcomed by His Majesty, AmaZulu king, MisuZulu kaZwelithini.

They had an opportunity to engage His Majesty during a closed-door meeting on the works that National and KZN Departments of Public Works and Infrastructure have been busy with.

For KZN Public Works and Infrastructure, rural development is a priority as the department wants to see the same opportunities and quality structures that exist in urban areas also stand tall in rural parts of KwaZulu-Natal.

This also speaks to skills development, job creation and local economic boost as defined by the department’s recent handover of 11 commercial farms to the KZN Department of Agriculture and Rural Development which will be used as part of programmes to empower local rural communities across KwaZulu-Natal.
