Ms Lungile Zuma is the founder and managing director of a black woman-owned construction company that has delivered a wide range of infrastructure projects across South Africa called Lungi Construction Enterprise, her company is now operating as Lungy Construction (CIDB Grade 6GB and 3CE).

Lungile has served in several construction organizations including South African Women in Construction (SAWIC & BE) as a Provincial Chairperson and National Deputy President, Eyesizwe Contractor Development Programme (ECDP) as a Provincial Chairperson, Board Member at Litadox NPC and SANRAL Project Committee as a committee member. 

She possesses skills in strategic leadership and business management, project planning, execution & quality control, financial management, cash-flow planning and risk mitigation, procurement, tendering and contract administration to name a few.

Lungile has more than 20 years extensive knowledge and expertise in the construction project lifecycle (from tender to handover), practical knowledge of CIDB grading requirements (Grade 6GB and 3CE), compliance with public sector procurement and construction regulations.  She also has experience in the delivery of varied infrastructure projects, a deep understanding of gender transformation challenges in construction and has first-hand insight into challenges faced by women-owned construction firms, including payment delays and operational risks.
